Why We Exist
Friends Doing Good was founded on a simple belief: that everyday people have more power to help their community than they realize. Most of us have an old car sitting in the driveway, a boat we haven't used in years, or an RV collecting dust — and most of us want to do something meaningful with what we have.
We bridge that gap. By accepting donated vehicles and converting them into direct funding for three causes — food shelves, First Responders, and families in crisis — we make it easy for anyone to make a real difference without writing a check.
Since our founding, we've helped hundreds of Minnesota families, stocked shelves at dozens of food pantries, and supported the men and women who run toward danger so the rest of us don't have to.

Pond Fest Six Was Again About 'Friends Doing Good'
Over 130 people showed up for the sixth annual Pond Fest on Mille Lacs Lake — raising funds for local food shelves, first responders, and families in crisis. Founder Sonny Williams called it proof that community generosity never runs dry.
"There has been no charge for the event that includes yard games along with a band and other activities," Williams said, adding that the Fest organization has recently earned 501(c)(3) status.
